We have had a few southerners as mayor.

Buckner Stith Morris was from Georgia.

One named Levi Day Boone was from Kentucky.

Carter Henry Harrison, Sr was also from Kentucky!

Eugene Sawyer (although not elected by the people) was originally from Alabama

Well, you are certainly one up on me with that bit of Chicago history!!! My relatives surely don't (didn't) know this as they pretty much disowned me for moving south!! (as southerners were not...er...well liked, shall we say)

Hmm. Learn something new everyday!! (and, another reason for this forum!)
