What about infrastructure? I am getting some serious March blues over these pot holes. I keep calling to have them filled (especially the ones with manholes sunken into 4 ft craters) but very few have been taken care of.

I have already had a flat and broken engine mounts since the beginning of last month and I only drive a couple times a week.

This list is much better.

Detailed List of Chicago Stimulus Projects (http://www.myfoxchicago.com/dpp/news/news_tips/stimulus_list_mar09 - broken link)

I do have some questions, though:

What is $88mill for Dearborn Blueline? Seems like there's a lot better ways to spend the for CTA.

What is Installation of security camera systems and connection to OEMC $24,334,920? That seems like a lot of cameras. Where are these cameras going? Who's going to watch them if no new employees are being hired?

How many units does this impact? Comprehensive rehabilitation of Altgeld Gardens/Philip Murray Homes $30,860,455. You could buy a couple hundred new SFH's for that.

Do the 52 new busses cut CTA's whining any?

Who wrote the title of this thread, Yoda?

$1 billion seems a very, very small number for Chicago.

"Chicago Avenue’s reconstruction from Laramie to Grand avenues, for example, will cost $10.5 million alone."

Daley says $1 billion in stimulus cash 'better than nothing' | Clout Street - local political coverage

Man that is the ghetto. Why in the world would the resurface that? The last time ( a few weeks ago) I drove on it-it did not seem to be in that bad of a condition.

Make fun of Yoda you should not.

Total defeat you will experience.
