Second person to be shot in the back in less than a week's span. It's so sad because Uptown has so much potential but a horrible alderman and complacent residents are holding it back. At least that is my take.

Here it is... Right by Truman College in the heart of rush hour. It's time to clear these thugs out, in spite of our crappy Alderman.

This is only one of many reasons I decided in the past (as well as in the very recent past) to not go to Truman College. I despise being in that area at any time of day.

Just wait until the Wilson Yard "project" is completed. It will be 1990 all over again in the middle of Uptown.

Are you talking about Helen Schiller? That woman is a nut. I don't think too many aflluent residents of the area would be too terribly upset if she was the one shot.

Yes, Helen Shiller is the Alderman I was referring to. I'd say it's largely middle-class residents who despise her. And while shooting her is definitely not an option, I think most of us would like it if she just moved away.

Lookout Kid for Alderman!

We do not agree on many issues, but if I lived in your ward I would vote for you over Shiller anytime!

I'd vote for an Al Sharpton/Pat Robertson evil hybrid cyborg before voting for Helen Shiller. Anything to get her dislodged from power! You just know she's going to pull a "Stroger/Lipinski" to try to get her chump son Brendan into power after her retirement... Ugh. I'll be around for the 2011 election, but doubt I'll stick around longer than that. I've got to find a larger place and decent school eventually!
