On behalf of the NC Chicagoans (and there are a few of us!) those that did not make it back to the city for the holiday, traded snow for massive rains and thunderstorms.
...flooding in the Charlotte area and a massive ice storm in the mountains. The mountain counties have been declared a disaster area...not good for the skiing industry!
Otherwise, the Carolina Christmas seemed to be in good form
