Hi everyone, we are planning on spending Christmas in Chicago this year. my husband and I love your city (been four times already) we are from Scotland and feel at home in Chicago. I am looking for advice on where to eat on Christmas day? what is open and any ideas how to spend the day.

Any suggestions welcome.

thanks Lynne.x

Our family has a tradition of visiting the animals at Lincoln Park Zoo on Christmas Day. That's open and free and (at least in my experience) not crowded but also not deserted. And you might see whether it's (still?) the case that you can have afternoon tea at the Drake Hotel on Christmas Day: Palm Court - Near North Side - Chicago, IL

I'm sure others will have lots of great suggestions. Have fun!
