Maybe part of Clark.

Ah well. Gotta love subjectivity.
Much of the housing in that part of Lake View (around the school) is almost exactually the same as that in the southwestern part of Uptown and the western parts of Uptown.

It feels a hell out a lot more like Lake View now then it did 10-20 years ago thats for sure!

Aw come on! It's practically indistinguishable from the northwestern part of Lakeview (since that's where it is!), North Center, an Ravenswood, too! In fact, it's pretty much the same as the housing in most of Chicago, except for highrise areas and the bungalow belt!

I say we fight about it. Clubs. Bats. Chains.

No. The housing in the extreme NW part of Lakeview (including the part north of Irving) is not the same as much of the rest of Lakeview. The part north of Irving is way more like the western part of Uptown. Take a drive over there and you will see.

I really love those blocks. Some of those houses are just gorgeous, and most are now rehabbed. There are still a few that need some love, but unfortunately I can't even afford those.

I live right by there! Ok, so there are some big houses on big blocks. That's true. Those are mostly to the north of the school, though. You see a lot of those big houses in the square bounded by, say, Clark to the east, Lawrence to the north, Damen to the west and Irving Park to the south. Only part of that is Uptown, and since we're being subjective, I'd say none of it FEELS like Uptown...

Boy. This has been a pretty pointless exchange.

If all of our exchanges had to have a point, how would we ever draw out the threads to 8+ pages?
