Hello,
I am planning on moving to Chicago next month. I would like to get some feedback on the following areas: Logan Square, Noble Square, and Wicker Park. I was looking to move in an area that is walking distant to the blue line for easy access to the O'hare airport. Are any of these areas safer than the other? Especially for a female.

Curious

A lone female in particular may want to avoid Logan Square. The other two areas are safer but it's still a good idea to keep an awareness of your surroundings, particularly at night.

Default logan square

Thanks for the tip.
I guess I'll stick to wicker park or noble square.

I've not lived in logan square, but I was just up there last night (and have been there several times before) and it seems to be an okay place (and yes, I took the 'el' there and back). I have, however lived off the blue line around wicker park, technically I live in a neighborhood called 'east village' just south of wicker park, and have for over 4 years and think it is a great area. I recommend it highly.

Right along Logan Boulevard it's OK, but Logan Square is still a pretty spotty area and still has one of the highest violent crime rates on the North Side. The gangbangers haven't been flushed out of the area yet.
