Like the others, I don't see a problem with kids going to bars provided they also serve food and its early.

As long as the kid can hold their liquor I see no problems.

Is there a "kid's menu" at the bar?

Half these jokers wanted the smoking ban so they could bring their kids to the bars. I hate those bastards. Go to a f*&%(*% restaurant that serves liquor, wine and/or beer if you want to drink while eating. Bars are adult places. If you do not want your kid exposed to adult things do not bring them to a f(*&^7^ bar.

You're trying to be all old school about this, but people have been bringing kids into bar/grill type places for decades. Like IrishTom29 going to the corner tap with his Dad on Saturday afternoons. As I said before, it heavily depends on the specific place and the time of day. Time of day is key. I think it's totally reasonable for adults to expect a bar to be kid free after 8:00 at night, unless it really is more of a restaurant. And I think it's fine if a bar decides to have an adults only policy.

I don't think we'll see young ones closing the bar at Casey Moran's, cage dancing at Cro Bar, or attending a show at the Exit Club any time soon, so no worries.

(Yes, I know these places are lame).

I went to the bar with my dad too. I am talking about bringing very young children to the bar.

It is a bar for god sake. If someone does not want their children exposed to bar-type language and bar activities they should not bring their damn infant and/or toddler to the fricken bar.

Oh, I fully agree with that. Except for your language. Kids could be reading this.
