Yet Miami is ranked #4, because apparently everyone loves 96 degrees and 187% humidity. And Phoenix is ranked #9 because everyone enjoys being able to fry an egg on their own forehead. And seriously, how the hell did the Twin Cities' weather rank ahead of ours? And Se-friggin'-attle?

I"m going to contest the clubbing and live music rankings, which should have been #1. Never on this continent nor any other have I found as high quality a music scene as I have in Chicago.

Why does that not surprise me about the weather. Lets see, this spring was a complete wash... More like just an extension of winter, and NOW we are having our spring with a combination of summer days added in here and there. Oh and only 1 completely sunny day where it was sunny the ENTIRE day since sometime in mid may! (and days where it is cloudy in the morning and sunny in the pm or vice versa dont count as sunny days, sorry) Yup, cool city, with a lot to do, and a crap load of $$$ to be made, great views, clean, and overall pretty safe, but absolutley the worst weather in the country for being such a big city. (1.5 mil + people) Not saying the worst weather in the country overall, but out of the big cities, we def. get the short end of the stick. When my friend Stew who moved here from Seattle couldn't stand it here because of our weather and eventually had to leave because he said our weather was just absolutley the worst he had ever seen, then I knew. And yes, he has lived all over the country.

But Miami is warm in the winter, PHX is mild in winter, and Seattle has 2 months where its not overcast with mind-numbing drizzle.

Thats great for winter vacationers, but most people vacation in SUMMER when the kids are out of school, and who the flip goes to PHX or Miami in summer? Chicago has decent spring weather, great summers, beautiful fall weather. IMHO, there are only 3 months of the year where the weather is truly uninviting to tourists. And even then Chicago still offers more to do than most cities. Screw that poll, its ridiculous.
