Good morning, Team.

Well 4 of us made it down yesterday. We have been going as a group for about 10 years. Most of them are retirees. And NO disrespect ( because most of my same-age friends couldn't bike like them), but most of these group members are truly getting "old".... I don't know how many more years they will want to keep going, but I'll be happy with whatever they can do.

We biked from the end of the park at McCormick and Green Bay to Lincoln Square. They are doing some renovations to the grass, and it looks like some new sculptures are up, perhaps.

We checked out that magic show/weird tales museum/ and gelato place on Western Avenue, just north of Lawrence. PLEASE go check it out. Kids and/or adults will love it!

Then we grabbed a drink on Gene's rooftop, and biked to the Ravenswood on Tap fest. My first time, and we all enjoyed it.

THEN the clouds changed!! We got to the trail and the rain started. I took off my tanktop and tried to keep it rolled up in my pocket so I'd have something dry.... It actually fell out. We got as far as Lincolnwood Mall, only. My friend had to go inKohls to buy me a tshirt. And then I went in and bought me new shorts and socks.

Our fearless comrade biked to the end of the trail to get the car, and came back beyond soaked, just so we wouldn't have to suffer as much. I offered to buy him clothes, but he refused.

He obviously lost the desire to dine in Edison Park, like that. But he wanted the Oberweis/Burger Joint combo from Skokie.

What a day!

No way Chicago is worse than all of those cities for bikers. Seems like bs to me.

As someone who lives in Chicago, basically never drives (though we do have a car that sits behind our condo all day) and bikes pretty much everywhere for everything I must say the world and the US must have absolutely amazing biking infrastructure if Chicago ranks that low. Can’t wait to go to a top 50 city where, I assume, cars are banned.

Chicago 3rd worst should at the very least make the authors question their methodology as it makes the entire list seem a bit silly.

Although maybe I’m wrong and the sunbelt has become a biker’s paradise in the last few years.

Just stupid click-bait, all of which serves up (piping hot!) 'confirmation' of the masses' stereotypes. In the process, the click-bait vendors invent new stereotypes (like this asinine one -- to the contrary, Chicago is a fabulous city for cycling) which are vaguely related to the existing ones. Biking = good (yes, agree!), Chicago = bad, therefore, Chicago = bad for biking. (In addition to all the other ways the city is bad! Like, I heard the people there like hot dogs, pizza, and Italian beefs! Not like people in Trenton and Philly, who like salads. [No offense to Trenton and Philly. Just pointing out the sort of idiocy I've seen in YouTube viral click-bait videos recently].)

After yesterday, I vote Chicago as one of the worst bikeable cities!
