Chinese restaurant in RUSH STREET area called Dr Cheng (Chicago: house, buying)

Does anyone remember this restaurant in the famous Rush st area of Chicago?back in late 70s and early 80s?
It is a 2 storey building and it is decorated with Oriental statues,beam,the owner is a Chinese PHD in something and his wife is ex model,Caucasian.
They first open a restaurant on Clark st,then they open this one and called it Dr Cheng or Chang?he went to SE Asia and spent almost a millions buying up all the decors for the restaurant,it touted GMO and Chines food is served Western style with no chicken head or feet or bone,rice is either white or brown and the waiters are Caucasian men ,they also have a weekend brunch and featured lion dance to celebrate Chinese New Year,the owner was at one time scouting place to build an eggroll factory(back then you cant get eggrolls in supermarket,either you make your own or order in restaurant) .
I dont believe they are profitable,as the overhead is high ,we went there once for dinner and dinnner for two cost $45,Sunday brunch is a good deal,lots of people there.
what happens to the owner and the restaurant.
He and his wife and mother also bought a house near Hugh Hefner 's mansion
