Ann Sather is very good for Breakfast. You can either take the Brown Line to the 909 W. Belmont location or drive/bus to the 5207 N. Clark location. They both open at 7am.

Pizza

Calo is pretty good as Drover already stated. I would recommend
Calo
Manzo's
Pete's
Villa May
in that order if you cannot get the Art of Pizza up there.

Does Manzo's do stuffed? I've had their thin-crust before... I really like their crust. Kind of beer-y.

I believe they do, but I have not eaten it yet. I am all for beer-y most of the time.

Thanks everyone! I thought I'd had my settings to email me when there were replies and I haven't received any emails (darn spam filter...) so I haven't checked this post in a few days.

Thanks for all the suggestions and insight to that area. If there's anything else you can think to add in, I'd love to hear!

Well I have as of a month ago. Their stuffed is abysmal. Just awful. Tasted like cardboard. Will stick to their thin-crust from now on.

Amey2003 (previous post),

Navy Pier is walking distance to the area of Chicago called Magnificent Mile (North Michigan Avenue). Some sites may list it as "Gold Coast".

Check travelocity, hotwire, priceline, orbitz, expedia, and all the other major search engines. Each of them has negotiated rates with a few particular hotels so you will find variance among the sites in terms of lowest rate at particular hotels.

You will want to search for 1, 2, or 3 star hotels I imagine (as you said "cheap"). Personally, I wouldn't go lower than a 3 star (or maybe a 2 star). You can go to tripadvisor.com and pull reviews on all individual hotels.

Good luck and enjoy.
