If Obama was deporting away, as claimed, then I assume that people on the left will have no issue with Trump merely continuing what Obama was already doing?

Doesn't matter what Rahm spouts. Federal law trumps (no pun intended) local law so Trump can and will drop the hammer when he gets to sanctuary cities on his to-do list. Rahm is actually helping Trump/ICE because now they'll know where all the illegals are located. Round em up Rahm!

Don't worry. Trump will cut Federal Funds to Chicago, and will let ICE do their job finally. I am sorry this will hurt Chicago because you will lose funds (lots of money from Federal). I don't know where is actually affects. But, Law & Order is coming back. Law will be enforced. Your mayor does not seem to know the difference to the good immigrants vs. illegal aliens.

In some cases elected officials in these municipalities brag about defying federal immigration laws. One, the mayor of Chicago, is mentioned in the DOJ Inspector General report for publicly stating: “We are not going to turn people over to ICE, and we are not going to check their immigration status.” The city also prohibits employees from cooperating with federal immigration authorities, the report says.

Jimmyp25 and Silver-Fox, tell me why the feds cut off money to Chicago is a bad thing?

Our federal government spends lots of money and gives free money, to the Israel government, for things that are of Israel's interests.

If the cut off Chicago, NY, LA, then that's more money to the feds. Is that a bad thing?

And as much broke Chicago is as a city, Illinois is more broke as a state imo. Less money to the city allows for more money to the state, which is also a good thing.

Pulling Federal Funding is only one angle. Trump will drop more ICE on Chicago than a January blizzard.

Back to point, if I were Rahm, Trump is not a guy I would mess with. And Rahm's "promise" is in violation of federal law and probably just pandering for votes anyway. I think Rahm is going to back down on this.

What exactly are you trying to achieve? You aren't going to turn Chicago into a pit of conservative mouth breathers by carrying on like you're on a certain website that ends in 'bart'.
Achieve what? None of my news sources come form breibart? How about you? Have you been watching your daily CNN propaganda?

Illinois and chicago have voted democrat forever. Please tell me. What positiveness has come out of voting Liberal for Chicago residents? Highest Taxes in the country? High unemployment?Poor Education? Bad neighborhoods?

I agree. Rahm also took Trumps street sign down before the election. I bet Trump didn't forget that....

Yep, Rahm is all up in his s- it, as they might say on the streets. This isn't going to end well for Rahm.
