For anyone that cares... ( and am certainly getting to the point of NGAF anymore. ) ( The last game I went to was in April. ) This is highway robbery.

"...The Cubs unveiled a new ticket-price structure for 2011 that keeps the average price flat but significantly raises prices on a new 13-game tier of premium ''marquee'' games. They include the season opener, three-game series against the White Sox, three-game series against the Yankees, a three-game midseason series against the Cardinals and three other select games.

Top prices for those games rise from $112 to $125.44 (including taxes)..."

Everyone complains about HIGH prices and HIGH Ticketmaster charges but they are first in line when the tickets come out on sale.

Quit attending the games and all of a sudden, teams are advertising on Goldstar events and Groupon for half price tickets.

It has been FIVE years since I have PAID for a ticket from a major league team. I will confess that I have picked up a couple of StubHub tickets for $5 each for games at Miller Field.

Not me. The only reason I sometimes buy early is to make money.

Other than that, I will never spend more than $50 for any ticket for a regular season game.

Anymore, $10 is my limit. I get a lot more entertainment heading to Beloit or Kane County for the minor league product or by heading to an NCAA game.

I wish the Chiefs were closer, that would be fun. We always talk about going to see the Cougars, but haven't done so yet.

And I still haven't been to the new Miller Field, argh. Miss the beer slide concept, though.
