Thanks, Ill pass.

What type of homes are in that area? I often wonder how young hockey stars live it up. I would have expected them to be in the Gold Coast or something.

That block of Hoyne has had a ton of teardowns in the past 10 years. I'd say probably 70% of it has been rebuilt in the past 15 years. The home that Seabrook bought (Toews just rooms with him) is the standard two story brick home in the same style as just about every other brick rebuild (i'm sure there's a name for the style but i don't know what it is). It's a bit more modest than some of the others in the area. I'd guess it's probably around 800,000, judging by what I've seen some other similar homes in the area go for.

This guy has an album that can give you a feel for the neighborhood.

Thanks for the info. Makes me wonder where some of the other Hawks live.

Its scary. You could get a building like that for like 250k around in 1996 and about 50k in 1976. Now you know why the street is full of new buildings.

Yeah I know. As much as I love the neighborhood, I could never own in this area because number 1, I can't afford it, but more importantly, even if prices don't depreciate much during the housing slump in the next few years, I think it will be a while until you see any real appreciation again. I don't see how its possible that they can go up much more, considering where they were at just a few years ago.
