I'm doing a local move soon, I'm trying to decide between New City Moving and the Professionals Moving Specialists. Does anyone have any experiences with either one? I would gladly appreciate it. They both have great reviews on Yelp.

I had a poor experience with Professionals... but to each their own. They didn't honor initial quote, furniture was scratched up upon arrival. It's all a gamble.

I used New City a couple months ago and couldn't be happier. Arrived right on time, packaged all the furniture really well - not one scratch (the only broken items were stem glasses that I didn't pack well enough in the box), quick and efficient, helped me pick up something on the way to the new place, and came in way under the estimate. For a decent size 1br, 5 miles away and up a couple flights of stairs, they gave me an estimate of about $800, and the final price ended up being $420 (before tip).

I just moved last week and used 2 Guys and a Van (though it was really 4 guys and a truck ;-). They estimated 6 hours, came in at 4 which included an hour of driving from Elgin to the north side. They did a great job. Rearranged some of the furniture after I changed my mind about where it needed to go.
