Yes! It will be easier this spring,

Is that usually how you break up with somebody?

Why not just crash at each other's pads from time to time? It will give you a little more time together in the morning and evening. And also, you don't have to subject yourself to a hardcore commitment.

This is what I wound up doing with the two most serious relationships I had in Chicago. I lived in Wicker Park and the both of them lived in Lakeview/Roscoe Village. The only downside to this is getting lazy and saying, "eff it, I might as well stay over there again tonight because getting home is such a pain." In hindsight, I would have preferred to keep more of a separate life earlier on, although I did almost marry the first one, and I am married to the second.

Well one party is usually required to move out when a couple lives together. The furniture doesn't move itself when you "stop calling."

When you live together and things start to go south, you can't start to distance yourself like you can if you have your own space. It can be pretty uncomfortable. I told myself I would never live with a woman again unless we were getting married, and I haven't.

The trip from Wicker Park to Lakeview has always seemed the crappiest, there's no good way to get there. For two hot spots for young professionals in the city, they're extremely exclusive of each other because there's no direct link between the two.

There is a very good way to get there, and it's usually quite fast and convenient, except at rush hour, but I think everyone on this thread forgot. There's something besides the CTA, you know, and most young professionals own one of these things.

I was actually living in Lakeview for a point, and dating someone from Bucktown, and we had no problems seeing each other. A car did the trick.

Belmont is the worst east west street in the evening.
Uhm no. I would say easily Fullerton and Addison are much worse. By worse I mean A LOT worse. Belmont is not that bad. I know so because I live right on it, and use it everyday. Try again.

Rush hour lasts until 7 in the city. So that doesn't work so well during the week if its late and you've aleady been in your car all day. I specificially mentioned this in my original post.
