Right, I just found this using google.

Table A-4. Employment status of the civilian population 25 years and over by educational attainment

The unemployment rate for those with a Bachelor's degree or better is 3.1%.

I guess those are the ones who have useless majors. the chart doesn't say this is in Chicago.

It looks like that is for the US, but still shows the point because the unemployment rate of the US is 7.3% total. The unemployment rate in the Chicago MSA is something like 8.1%, so my guess is that the educated unemployment rate in the area isn't much higher than 3.1%.

New York's rapid transit is more accessible (more train lines, more trains running), but what time is saved there is eaten up by the huge distances people travel. The bus system is kind of wacky there, i.e. Brooklyn buses all have random stops and starts, and you can't ride one bus from one end of the borough to another.

I am really interested in getting a sales job - something like financial sales, real estate etc....would it be hard to find one ?

If you did well in school, have strong english and communication skills, etc then I think you'll have an easier time.
