I would not want it to turn into Wicker Park either, but I'd like to see more nightlife and restaurants on the street

There are a good number of bars/restaurants in that area in actuality....yeah it's not like Wrigleyville but there's still a good amount.

How many taverns can you hang around in anyway? Some of you jaspers seem almost frantic in your search for distractions. You'll make a swell old rummy with a runny red whiskey beak, pissing your pants and sliding off the barstool; very glamorous.

I've lived in NS 12 years and it was more exciting then, but on the plus side there's much less gang activity. There's good and bad with change. Yes it will get nicer and more expensive, the trend will continue. The Google development can't hurt.

Ruxbin is in Noble Square (east of ashland)... As a whole, Noble Square does not have as much going on as East and UK Village because it's considerable smaller. The construction of the highway took a lot of real estate from Noble.

You could argue that Noble Square has more of the fine dining scene with Ruxbin, West Town Tavern, Green Zebra, Mexique, etc. and an equal amount to do if you include the strip of bars and restaurants on grand east of ashland.

I really think the East Village Area along Chicago (between Damen and Ashland) has a lot of potential if the right kind of retail and restaurants move in

Yes. None of us can be happy until the entire city looks like Milwaukee and North. Thinking about taquerias being replaced with FroYo stands just gets me up in the morning.

I am with Tom. How many sushi restaurants do you need.
