I will be working at One Prudential Plaza and temporarily living in an extended stay hotel until I find a decent place to live in Lakeview.

I have been to Chicago a couple of times but never lived there and used public transportation. So, my question is can I take the Blue Line to this location? Or do I switch to the redline?

I'm looking on the CTA website and I am very, very confused..

Blue Line would get you to Clark and Lake. You'd have to walk the rest. Make sure you walk out of the eastern entrance or you'll have a few more blocks to walk, since that station platform runs in the east/west direction before the subway turns down Dearborn.

YES. Take the Blue line till you get to Washington stop. then walk 3 blocks east. If its raining theres a tunnel you can walk thru. The prudential building is on Randolph just a bit east of Michigan Ave. Randolph is one block north of Washington.

if you see an exit when you get off the train at Washington, which says "Randolph" just take that and walk straight east about 3 blocks.

it will be easy peasy for you to navigate this. Just dont give money to pandhandlers and you will be ok.

Thanks so much! I'll be taking a practice run on Sunday morning - so I'll be sure to do a bit of exploring.

Yeah, Washington is probably better by a little bit, and then you can basically take the tunnel to the Washington Red Line and then take the pedway the rest of the way. It's great in the winter or rainy weather.
