You really are not too bright. It has nothing to do with race/ethnicity and mostly with economic standing. The wealthy black suburbs/neighborhoods of Atlanta and wealthy Latino neighborhoods/suburbs of Miami are far superior and advanced than the a low income town/neighborhood that is majority white. It has nothing to do with race and all about $$$.

To answer your questionWhitney Young is in a black neighborhood, and one of the best schools in the state, if not country.

It's about a mile walk from this corner to the Western Blue Line. The best bet would probably be to check bus tracker for both the Diversey bus (to take you to the Logan Square stop) and the Western bus (to take you to the Western stop) and take whichever comes first. It would probably be rare you would have to wait more than ten minutes.
