But the train isn't that far. If you like walking its certainly doable and not that bad. Especially if your walking route is down Logan Blvd, beautiful walk really. Blue Line is the closest and that's more or less a 15 minute walk from that area. Blue Line IMO is one of the best lines to live by. 24 hours of operation, fast, and takes you to O'Hare. Diversey bus is eh. Not the best, not the worst, but using the bus tracker will save you a lot of headaches and wasting time. Western bus is better and pretty reliable. Further west near theLogan Square stop and Cali area is more convenient, but around Diversey and Western it's fine. Just not as good as it is further out west in Logan Square.

I am not positive about this but would imagine you would mostly want to head south to the Milwaukee blueline, not west. I am not overly familiar with the area but west of Sacramento/California can get rough in many parts of the city.

Someone else will know for sure.

Nah, west of Cali and Sacramento is perfectly FINE as long as you stay north of Armitage and don't go farther west than Central Park. The "hippest" part of Logan Square is west of Sacramento by the Blue line stop.

To be honest all of the blue line that is north of downtown are in perfectly safe areas. Everything from Clark/lake to O'Hare in regards to the stops are perfectly safe areas. I live right next to the one that is probably the grittiest of them all from those stops, Belmont, and its perfectly fine and safe. If anything it's very lively with a lot of activity I that area.

Gotcha. I am not very good with directions and generally pass that way on bike.

On bike I generally find anything south of Fullerton/west of Californi-ish is shi**y but I think I know the enclave you are talking about.

Naw I see your point. Yes, west of Cali and Sacramento once you go south of Armitage is not very nice and can be dangerous. Improving but not an area you really want to hangout in. But Cali and Sacramento north of Armitage is perfectly fine and safe especially the further north you go. For example the intersection of Cali and Logan Blvd, is really really nice. Has a very classy feel to it.

Or white people coming into a theater or school massacring people. Or that most serial killers are white. I guess if I live in a white area I should be ready for them to go on a gun rampage or be a serial killer right? That's what you are saying based on your logic.

In one of those cases the friend was a Muslim which probably had a huge reason as to why it happen. It's a shame that a fellow white like yourself is demeaning your own race. Keep it up! We'll be just like the blacks soon.

Haha first of all your response is weak and has nothing to do with what I said, which means you just got put in your place cause you didn't know how to respond, lol. I am demeaning my own race? Pot meet kettle, and trust me I am not demeaning my own race seeing as you don't even know what race I am. Wow, lot dumber than I thought.

Either way done with ya. Continue as you were.

What everyone here fails to understand is that the "white" way of life is the "right" way of life! Yet we keep trying to celebrate diversity and minorities instead. Pure stupidity if you ask me.
