Cermak's pretty cheap - that is, in the Hispanic portion of Irving Park.

The new in town Mariano's [by Lane Tech] has good prices... like cheaper Ben & Jerry's and Magnum than the SuperWalmart on North Ave.

But I shop everywhere. Sometimes the Food4Less on North Ave & Cicero has some stuff cheaper than the nearby SuperWalmart.

Someitmes I find good stuff at Tony's too.

x2 for Mariano's. I welcome our Milwaukee-based supermarket superiors. I feel like we've been getting the shaft having Jewel and Dominicks as our two main big supermarket chains.

As a frequent Chicago visitor, I found that Dominick's has a very good selection, and good prices ( based upon the store in Park Ridge). Being open 24 hours is certainly a plus..

I like Fox and Obel for more gourmet stuff (although, is Eataly going to take its place??), and a place like Tony's Finer Foods in some of the other areas (i.e. Logan Square, Irving Park). Haven't been to Mariano's yet.

The Tony's in Irving Park is a pit.
