I'm not from Chicago, but I'll be in the area on Thursday and Friday. I wanted to know how to access Oak St Beach considering on Google Maps it shows that its on the other side of Lake Shore Drive.

Forgive my ignorance.

From the corner of Michigan and East Lake Shore Drive (which is an extension of Oak Street), walk through the pedestrian underpass.

Or

From the corner of Lake Shore and Division (1200 North), walk through the pedestrian underpass.

As best I can remember. Exactitude not guaranteed, but it will be obvious and you will get there.

Right where Oak St turns into North Lake Shore Drive? -- I thought I saw something of the sort on the street view of google maps but I wasn't sure. Thank you!

Is it a clean beach?

Navy Pier is kind of far away from Oak Street Beach. Although I guess if you like walking along the lake on the bike paths it's not bad.

I saw on Google Maps, if you head through the underpass, it eventually runs out of sidewalk and it looks like there's a yellow gate to get inside?

The beaches on the far north side (past Montrose) are cleaner and less crowded.

No. You'll figure it out once you're there. It's not complicated.

I have a concesson allowing me to sell the access passes to OSB. $9.95 each. Meet me by the Gazebo across from the Drake. I'll take care of you.
