Let me just say I do not consider Uno's or any others that have satellite restaurants "chains". I had Uno's in Florida and it is NOT the same pizza at all. My favorite is Uno. None that I've had have been bad. I also like Art of Pizza, because it's tasty, fast, cheap and they have free parking. I've heard tons of people rave about Pequods, but I haven't had it.

I went to Pizza Due's place just across the street from an Uno's, in Chicago; very good, but essentially the same as Uno's ...or IS there a difference?

no difference. they are the same, exact pizza. the only reason Due's (Pizzeria #2) opened a block away from the original, Uno's (Pizzeria #1) was because Uno's couldn't handle the crows; a second place was needed.

All of these answers were excellent. What I'm taking from all this is Lou's is the place to go. Along with this thread, I have read plenty of comparison articles/reviews and it seems that Malnati's gets more positive feedback than Uno's so I'm definitely gonna check that place out.

Now, off topic -- what's good with that Italian Beef? haha

Due to different type of pipes in the plumbing of Due, there's a different mineral content in the water that makes the crust a little flakier and less dense, which some people prefer. (Okay, I made that up.)

That's right. Entire murders of them were swooping down and eating all the crust.

And that's how I wound up at Due's, BTW...

No, unless quantity over quality is your thing.
