Yes, $2.25 for adults. Depending on kids age, they can actually be free.

If you want to save a few bucks, ride to Jackson and get off and get the cab. It's closer to your hotel and only a few stops from Clark/Lake and it's in the Loop, so there should be cabs around. There might be more cabs around Clark/Lake though. Really depends on what day and time you're there.

Anyway, $2.25 is standard rate on trains, and $2.00 for buses IF you have a transit card. If you're paying by cash, then it's $2.25 for both. 1st Transfer (within 2 hours) is 25 cents, So if you took the train to wherever, got off, and then decided to hop back on the train (or another one) 60 minutes later, it would be 25 cents instead of $2.25 IF you have a transit card.
