all are great names, except calling lake Michigan a lake just doesn't fit the picture unless they know its Chicago. It would look more like an ocean….

Chicago can be called "chicory" it was a street name in gta 4, and I thought it would match perfectly.

These games can be totally addictive to just cruise around in the car, jam to music, and see the area. And to scope out how they did the landmarks. I'm TOTALLY fiending off of GTA V right now and Rockstar also made Midnight Club LA which had soooooo many places in it.

If Rockstar made one based in Chicago, it would just be AWESOME to be able to start from the southside along the lake -- Hyde Park/U of Chicago and just see how the entire city spans along the lakefront.

Actually, IMHO it could be a good investment for the city to promote itself by paying $$ to be the setting in an ELITE top tier video game that would do a billion dollars in sales (aka a game as successful as GTA V).

If Chicago wasn't in the midwest, it would already have been done.

Chicago is a French-Indian word, so maybe
St. Croix City [French Word]
Calumet City [French Word]
Chikashsha [French-Indian for Chickasaw]

And the state should be called Iroquois.

Not true. GTA had a game based in London in the 70s.

Windy lake city?
At first I thought Indian lake city ( due to the fact that Chicago is a Native American name).

Chicago = Gangster King City
Illinois = Saluki (another tribe living in Illinois)

Named after its two largest, deadliest gangs: Gangster Disciples and Latin Kings

Level 1: West Ridge (renamed The Bazaar, after its Indian population)
Level 2: Gold Coast (renamed Money Colony, after its rich residents)
Level 3: Canaryville (renamed Foundry Village, after its blue collar vibe)
Level 4: Hegewisch (renamed South Electric District, after its South Shore Line station)
Level 5: Englewood (renamed War Zone, after its high crime)
Level 6: Back of the Yards (renamed The Slaughterhouse, after the stockyards)

^^ Chiwaukee -pronounced CHI-WAUK-KEY(Chicago/ Milwaukee), Illinosin (IL/WI) - pronounced ILL-I-SIN for the state.
Chabana - pronounced CHA-BANA (Champaign/Urbana) if they decide to include a small town university district.
Illinosin Rapids in place of Wisconsin Dells.

I'd say Dearborn City for Fort Dearborn, but there's already a city of Dearborn in MI.
