May I suggest a trick I used to use when younger.

No woman is going to go home with you at 9, 10, 11 or midnight. They have the whole night ahead of them and you would have to be pretty special to take her away from a night with her friends.
Plus, if it's just physical you are looking for, they will hold out, and as the night gets later get less picky.

So do what I did. Stay home, take a nap and head out at 12:30 or 1:00.
You will look fresh, you clothes will still be unrumpled and the women will be wearing 'beer goggles'.
I'm an average guy in just about every way. But I never left without at least a phone number.

Well, I would first forget about meeting them at bars and clubs unless you're very good looking or very wealthy. Too much competition otherwise.

I would guess - and honestly, I have no clue - that a lot of women in their 40s shop on Rush street during the day at some of those expensive stores. It might not hurt to go in one of them, approach one with a question about a brand or fit ("hey, sorry to bother you. do you think this would look good on me?") and see how they react.

Maybe go to a Whole Foods or Trader Joe's as well, ask some similar question ("hey, sorry to bother you, but have you tried this ___?")
