want to take my wife and 1 year-old son on a local 3 day trip. want to be on the water somewhere, so we can soak in some rays and enjoy the scorching days! we've done Lake Geneva which is great, but hoping to do something different. Prefer to keep the drive under 2 hours if possible. lots of options on the MI side of the lake, any other suggestions? or any suggestions for SW MI?

If you want to keep the drive under 2 hrs, I'd suggest Evanston.
