Hi:

Just wondering if anyone knows what the approximate cab fare would be from the Ogilvie Transportation Center to Wrigley Field? Thanks!

$26 during rush hour (with tip and 3 passengers). Less then $20 with minimal traffic.

Much cheaper to just hoof it to the State/Lake Red Line station, pay the $2.25 and enjoy the ride on a packed El train car.

You could also walk to Halsted and take the 8/Halsted bus north either all the way to Addison or transfer to the Red Line at North Ave.

It's unequivocally and totally safe with the possible exception of, maybe, 3AM on a Sunday night, or if you accidentally headed in the wrong direction and wandered a mile and a half west.

It's mostly an extension of the office district, although there are a few residential buildings around. There are fast food/office worker lunch places in and near Ogilvie, and along/near Randolph Street there are some fine dining options.

Overall, it's a pretty boring area.
