Is it safe to walk from the Best Western Hawthorne Terrace Hotel at 3434 N. Broadway to Wrigley Field after 10PM?

Yup. You're miles away from any danger in that neighborhood. May be a pickpocket, but that is it.

No, anyone who attempts it dies.

It's safe. Just like anywhere, exercise know of who is around you but the area is safe.

Well, you do have to pass through Boystown to get there, and that area has been having some problems after midnight recently -- enough that it's made the local newscasts. (See other threads on the subject.) So proceed with caution. Or take a cab.

There is a local blogger who is tracking Boystown and Wrigley crime stats and hots spots of criminal activity.

Crime In Wrigleyville & Boystown

For what it is worth there was a strong arm robbery at the Best Western on 5/31. Here is the link to the post:
Crime In Wrigleyville & Boystown: HOTEL HORROR: Bound, Stabbed, Robbed At Gunpoint

IMHO, my advice (which really applies to when walking in many areas of Chicago) is to travel in a group, discretely use your iPhone, carry minimal amounts of cash and jewelry, avoid large groups of people congregating on sidewalks and be aware of your surroundings.

It is mostly safe except for that police beat with one of the highest numbers of robberies in the city.

I was just out in Boystown last night with a group of friends until 4am. Guess I have bad timing that everytime I'm in Boystown I never see any major crime happening.
