Yeah this was nothing. With the exception of me having to help my neighbor chase down her halloween decorations, I was expecting much worse. What I don't get is since this really was a "nothing" storm, why the heck was traffic backed up so bad? I'm used to sitting for 2 hours for blizzards and whiteouts. Not a little rain and wind.

Days like this happen at least once a year in the Spring and Fall.

If you heeded the warning you got your boats out of the water over the weekend. I seem to remember this happening every year in one form or another. This year its high wind. Next year it'll be a freeze before the 15th.

The wind is doing something strange to our power lines at work. The lights and the power has gone out twice. Have to save those spreadsheets!

Oh, the humanity! I'm outside now. I can hardly describe it, it's so terrible! Halloween decorations everywhere! May God have mercy on us all!

This is the kind of day where you don't work on anything too important that you don't want to have to do again. This is one reason I like laptops at work. I always had desktops until my last "real" job which provided me with a laptop. There is nothing better than knowing that your manipulations aren't going to never-never-land when the power flips out for 5 seconds or more.

Hope everyone is surviving the storms/winds.

I just went out for an hour at lunch in the Loop and everyone is wandering around as if nothing unusual was happening. It was maybe a bit breezy, but honestly it's a pretty nice day. Low humidity, broken clouds, pretty warm temps.

Is this suppose to start up this afternoon, or what? They said it was a huge wind storm going from this morning to tonight, and then again tomorrow morning through tomorrow night.

It's 1:20pm now and a total dud.....at least downtown.
