Sluggers is a lot of fun, it's the dueling pianos though, not the woman in a slutty dress draped across a baby grand while some guy plays tender songs in a dark lounge type of place.

Sluggers is right along the Wrigley stretch of bars.

What kind of experience are you looking for? Lounge? Bar? The north side bars, especially along Clark, are more the do bomb shots until you start slurring, then go have messy sex in your hotel room type of nights.

Bad Dog is probably the closest thing to an intersection of Wrigleyville and Lincoln Square, up around Montrose and Lincoln.

Cans is a good time in Wicker Park Bucktown if you want to skew a little younger on the evening.

Ain't my idea of a good time, either, but there's a reason its been around for as long as it has................

and if all the douchebags left Wicker Park, well it would be pretty empty.

In Chicago, there are dance clubs...and then there is SMARTBAR.

If you are specifically looking for "dancing" (and I mean really getting out on the dance floor and dancing), then the best bar is SmartBar, on North Clark St underneath the Metro concert venue. Great music, no pretention, everyone there is into the music, dancing like Travolta in Saturday Night Fever, and the party rages on from 1130 till 5 am. Probably the only remaining place in Chicago that truly offers that type of club experience...just try to not to look like an out-of-state tourist, or act like an "a hole"...just be cool, laid back and friendly and you will fit right in.
