Hi Guys----

We are moving to Arlington Heights in somewhat of a hurry so I am trying to research good apartments in the area. As usual, online reviews are barely helpful as most people only write negative reviews. Does anyone have any positive experiences in AH with apartments that they would like to share? I am from the area (Liberyville), and I know I like AH, but I am not familiar with the individual complexes.

We found one we really like called Arbor Lakes, does anyone have any feelings/experiences on this location? Thanks for any responses

I know this is a more narrow line of relocation questioning, but I am hoping to get some input from y'all...

Not sure about Arbor Lakes. I know the other side of Rte 53 is quite sketchy (for the NW suburbs). You are close to Buffalo Creek Preserve which is excellent for walking, biking, jogging and dog walking. Complexes that seem to be nice from the outside, that I drive by frequently, are Brook Run, Arlington Club in Wheeling, Avalon Arlington Heights and Dunton Tower. The last 2 are in downtown which has advantage of being able to go out, go shopping, go to movies and catch train downtown Chicago without needing a car. Yesterday I spotted a private apartment for rent on Sigwalt St. within walking distance of downtown. So checking the smaller buildings is also worthwhile.
