I grew up in Downers Grove, while its true its WASP(Y) but it has changed in the years, growing up I never saw any other race til I arrive high school, now that was a shock for me but I actually have an minority best friend.

You will find the north side of town has better school system hence more expensive, if you want space for the money then look in south side of town around 63rd a lot of newer development. North side has new homes but they are spread out sporadically, anderson homes is one of the popular builders in dg.

Now, I live in NC but I do miss the days where i grew up along warren avenue and the cops chasing the speeders (even my sister and I used to encourage them speeding)
