My opinion is it would be to your advantage to search the forum for threads already written about Downers Grove.

I used to visit Downers Grove every year for their National Championship Criterium Race but they cancelled that and took down their website this year. They couldn't afford the $35,000 it takes to hold the race anymore. The place were they held the race area was near the train station and it had ok restaurants.

I went to high school at Downers Grove North and was just in the downtown area. Great little downtown, short commute to Chicago, good schools and comparitively affordable.
