Without the zoo, that town would probably disband, wouldn't it?

Nah. It's got the Metra, a good High School, and is relatively close to Chicago. It's boring, but sensible.

There's a fantastic Italian restaurant there, I can't think of the name. Phil Vettel loved it too.

I love Brookfield!

Its very close to the city, yet has a bit of that insular small town feel so close. A lot of the housing stock is older, yet no white flight, and is more or less surrounded by forest preserve. Kiwanis park is great. Irish Times is also great!!

My point was that Brookfield has reasons to exist other than the zoo. What was yours?

Sorry I quoted the wrong person- but since I have your attention what good high school is in Brookfield. I know RB is in Riverside and LT is in Lyons- Students from Brookfield could easily get zoned out of Riverside- Brookfield HS (and for a while Riverside Township talked about doing so)- Riverside parents felt that the town of Brookfield were starting to let too many "problem people" move into their neighborhood- along with North Riverside

Wow, I'd love to swim in a nice brook.
