So,

I"m curious how the traffic is on I-94 north in the morning, and I-94 South in the afternoon.

Also,

What about I-90 west in the morning, and I-90 East in the afternoon. Are there any trouble spots?

basically from Evanston to mundelein, and Evanston to hoffman estates.

Thanks

Traffic on I-94 is always bad. Many people as far north as Highland Park take Sheridan Road or Green Bay Road all the way to LSD it is so bad. You've got a heck of a way to go!

Yes it is very tough. You have people traveling north into Deerfield and Northbrook along with people coming from Gurnee, etc. along with Lake Forest, Highland Park, Glencoe, Winnetka, Wilmette, Skokie, Glenview, Northfield, Golf, and Lincolnwood. If you go around 11AM or 12PM you should be okay, but there is almost always traffic sometime 9AM and 10AM are okay on tuesdays through thursdays.

I-94 from Evanston to Mundelein and I-90 to Hoffman Estate are not a "reverse commute" kinds of roads at all. There is simply "inbound traffic" & "outbound traffic" and both are some of the worst in the region. If more people who accepted jobs in those areas would simply WAKE the heck up and move closer they'd be doing themselves, their employers, their communities, the region, and the planet a HUGE favor.

They'd have a shorter commute. They'd be more productive. They could be more involved in after work activities. The region would be able to support more through- transportation activities. There would be a decrease in CO2 emissions...
