Tighthead certainly does a good job marketing its beers in local restaurants. I was at their pub one Saturday night not long ago, and while I liked it overall, I prefer the darker, mellower vibe of LB Brew. My wife (from Russia) praises it as "like Europe."

Until a couple of years ago they allowed pets in there too, which was nice. But then the landlord banned it.

Last time we went to Mickey Finn's, I got a distinct impression they were watering down the beer. Haven't been back since.

We used to go a lot to Yard House in Glenview. Huge selection of beers on tap (over 200), including their own, and decent food too. But we haven't been there in a while.

They have set the standard for micro-brews in the burbs. Even expanded to buying the old roundhouse in Aurora. Good luck with that in LaGraunge.

They also bought a prime building in the heart of downtown Naperville that has three floors, one for a cafe, one for an expensive restaurant, and the top floor is a speakeasy/lounge. All Two Brothers.

Suburban brews that I've enjoyed

Skeleton Key in Woodridge
Noon Whistle in Lombard
Solemn Oath in Naperville
5 Rabbit in Bedford Park

They came to Oak Park and failed. I have always thought they were overrated, but supported them a couple times just because, beer.
