Our family is relocating to Orland Park, IL. We have 4 school age children, elementary, middle and high school. Are there any nice, specific subdivisions that you can recommend with an abundance of children (and some stay at home moms) that have a good community feel? Our price range is probably between 225-300K and we will probably start actively looking in the Spring. Thanks for any help you can give us.

Have you considered any of the other suburbs down that way? Mokena and Frankfort you can get a little more house for the money, less congestion, and good schools.

Yes. We are trying to stay fairly close to job without a long commute.

What ever happened? Did you move to Orland Park? I am considering this town for our relocation. I have two school age children, one middle & one high school age.

Dormar75, we decided on Tinley Park because we liked the area slightly better over Orland Park. The schools look very comparable in every way but we wanted to be 5-10 minutes away from all the shopping craziness of Orland. We have a contract on a house and are very excited. After visiting a number of times, we decided we could have been equally happy in Orland Park or Tinley Park for our family with regards to middle/high schools and community. Both are Great areas! Hope this helps. Good luck on your move.
