Suburb drivetimes to Midway: Actual vs. Mapquest

I work right off of I-55 and rt. 83 in Willowbrook. There is a woman in my office who lives in Crest Hill, near Plainfield and Shorewood. On a very good day, it's a 45 minute drive to get home, but very good days are rare. An hour to an hour 15 minutes is most common. Leaving Midway at 6, it will be at least 15 minutes to get to the Stevenson, 20, minutes to get to Rt. 83, then 45 minutes to Plainfield. A total of 1 hour and twenty minutes, on a very good day. I would expect an hour and 30 to 40 minutes on most days, two hours plus on bad days, which will happen a few times a month at least. This winter we've had a lot of snow. On a heavy snow day, especially during rush hour, you're looking at a 3-4 hour commute. Seriously, it's happened a couple times this winter for people with a 20 or 30 mile commute. I would very highly recommend Oak Lawn, which, except on the very worst days, will never be more then a half hour commute (it's only about 8 miles from Midway) and it is a great town with a lot to offer. Search for Oak Lawn, there have been some recent discussions about it.
