I have heard some horror stories about parking in Oak Park. A friend of mine said when she lived there in an apt. she had to rent a parking place that was not even near her home, it was a good hike of some blocks, the parking was so tight. And parking was always a problem for overnight visitors.

I know where I live now, you can't park on the streets overnight but since its so suburban its really not a problem because we have big driveways.

My question is are the parking regulations the same for Berwyn and Forest Park as well? Do they have the same parking issues as Oak Park?

Don't know about Berwyn, but Forest Park also has a no overnight parking restriction. However, their guest pass policy is much more liberal than Oak Park's. If I lived in Oak Park and had a car (which I do), I would make sure I had access convenient off-street parking. If you rent an apartment without convenient parking, that's a conscious decision that should have been made after doing due diligence, and its weird to complain about it after the fact. Its not like the parking regulations change every week. There's plenty of apartments with reasonable parking options.
