Warrenville is a great place to live. We've been here over 10 years now and love it! While there is no downtown per se, 15 minutes in any direction will get you any store you want and that's what we like about it. It's quiet, but everything you could possibly want or need is very accessible and it's close to the highways. I have to put in a plug about Fermi Lab, which borders Warrenville. Fermi Lab is sooooo beautiful! In the summer, we go bike riding through there and I love it because there isn't nearly the traffic you find on regular streets. We always take our dog to their dog park and in the winter, we take the kids sledding on the hills in Fermi Lab. I know lots of people who jog through it and take their babies for walks there. Whenever we have out-of-town visitors, we always take them to see the buffalo grazing in Fermi Lab and they are absolutely amazed! We are planning to move soon because my husband has been transferred and Fermi Lab is definitely one thing I'm going to miss GREATLY. By the way, you don't have to worry about it either because they don't do any nuclear stuff there at all. I know a lot of people who have that misconception. Library system is great too. The only place I would stay away from is the Country Ridge apartment complex on Route 59 - not a good place. Other than that, there really is no bad area in Warrenville.
