I'm a 29 year old business admin degree major with minors in finance and economics, and also took health care admin as part of my degree, and Ive had 4 years of experience now at a construction based company as an office manager, and adminsitrative assistant. I'm looking for a job in the Chicago area. Being from northern lower Michigan, how can I network from being out of state? I realize its hard to get hired for the kind of position that I'm looking for being out of state, and networking may be a very good option, but Id like to do it without relocating first since I'm currently employed and dont want to go there and use a large part of my savings. What can I do to network in the Chicago area (including suburbs), or without networking land a job paying $18-20 an hour?

Use LinkedIn. Use your college's alumni office. If you were part of a Greek organization, use it too. Social networking at its best.
