Yeah, if you want a 90 min commute by car there isn't. Which I don't:-) Zero interest in Naperville but thanks.

I cannot believe what I am reading in some of these posts, especially the comments about Jewish people, but the most desirable and most expensive part of Northbrook is the Voltz Road area of East Northbrook. Some of the properties there fall barely into the New Trier Township High School District and Sunset Ridge K-8 School District, as opposed to Northbrook & Glenbrook North public schools. If you are going to be looking in East Northbrook and have the money, generally at least $800k, more likely $1million+ I'd take a look at Northfield and Eastern portions of Glenview as well.

ugh, i would not call northbrook desirable at all. the people are totally snobby, not everyone of course but mostly. growing up in northbrook is painful in so many ways. of course its nice to have nice schools, but you will be stuck in a bubble that is nothing like the real world in any way.
