Just wanted to throw out a question for those of you in Naperville 203....what do you consider to be the best middle school and why? I have heard good things about Madison and Kennedy and not so good things about Washington and Lincoln. Any thoughts?

Kennedy is a country club of sorts, but it's the best. Of course I'm biased because I went there not too long ago.

Keep in mind that any 203 middle school will not be bad. Kennedy seems to have a better vibe to it, but they are all very good schools. You may hear that Jefferson is "bad" because it does serve some section-8 housing. I don't think it's too much of an issue.

Anything in 203 is better than 204. You're already in good shape.

We love Lincoln and think it's a great school. The teachers are very involved and enthusiastic.

You will not go wrong with any ...and come on on the seciton 8 stuff...what, maybe a handful of the older (not yet torn down houses) in jefferson area? jefferson also serves Cress Creek, Saybrook, north end of Webster, Main, Eagle - all streets/area with $1M-$2M teardowns.

I grew up nowhere near Naperville - and am now lucky enough to live downtown - but where I grew up, parents would have given a kidney to send their kids to any of the 203 schools.

Thanks for the input. I would agree that a "bad" school in Naperville is still a good school. The thing is that I have heard that the kids who go to Central that came from Lincoln are not thought of as highly as say, Madison or Kennedy. We are considering where to move and we want to pick the area with the better middle schools if possible.
