I heard that the 3.0 Duramax for GM’s most popular SUV’s are getting delayed. Why is that ? Isn’t this engine already tested and used on the trucks based off the same SUV. So it has been emissions certified already. Still interested in understanding why there is a delay for a exclusive Powertrain option in the segment. I’m hearing pretty good things about this engine.

At the GMC dealer two weeks ago for service and they had two or three with the 3.0 diesel.

Possibly it is just manufacture of the engine or parts for the engine. So they can't be supplied for the final assy?
