Hi Ya ~

I am going to be in Chattanooga for my one year anniversary (July 5th) and I was wondering what kind of Fourth of July celebrations will be going on. It will be my husband and I, and our dog. Any suggestions on places to view fire works??

I haven't decided which one we will attend yet so I will post as they come to mind. Usually there are a TON of events posted in the Friday's Times Free Press both parades and fireworks.

Soddy Lake in Soddy Daisy just south of the 27/111 split. Also a cool car show Look for our City Data friend Split!

Awesome! They both sound great... I wonder if we can hit both. My husband and I are really in to old cars and I have even helped a friend build a "T Bucket", which he takes to shows, as well. Thank you for your help. Do you know if Dogs are allowed at the car show?

Cool Friday night Baseball Park . Early Sat Soddy Lake

L.N.J. : Heard on the tv news , Friday night at the end of the Baseball game will be fireworks. This is right near the Aquarium, river front.
.. Early Saturday , 10am the Soddy lake , Route #27 Car show , festival , will get under way. Music near 11am or 11:30 , Fireworks at dusk .
FREE event so if Dog is friendly , & on leash , should be ok .! LOTS of people, but shade along vendor row, senior center. . Big turn out of cars from different states.

Actually you could do both. Do Soddy for the car show and downtown on the river for fireworks (or stay for the Soddy Lake show). Sounds like a great evening

And Happy Anniversary to you! Cheers!

Cool Soddy Car SHOW.

L.N.J.: I have had a few show vehicles over the years, but the 1963 " SPLIT " window Coupe , 4 speed , side pipe car would have been the favorite investment.
...... We are into Classic Boats at the moment.. Plan " B" on the dog would be use our house for the afternoon ..?.. Prior Space Coast of Fla , almost your neighbors at one point with land in "Manderin", south of Jax.
.. Here is another regional cutie , will see all styles. A great example of outdoor family value activities here in East Tenn.
