We are a couple in our 60's looking for a very long term rental in the Spring city area, where are the best places to look once we get there, not much on Craigs list, I will be coming up the end of June and would like to find a place with a covered area for my boat and truck,we only need a 1 or 2 bedroom and the garage does not have to be attached just so its big enough to hold the boat and truck, even a double carport would work,is it better to just drive around, check with local real estate people and do they have a local paper or community bullentin board? I worked there years ago and love the area and fishing is what I do most everyday, any ideas would be great!

Thanks

Spring City is well outside the Chattanooga area. You might get an answer here, but you'll have much better luck in the general Tennessee forum (one level up from here).

I do know that Spring City is a fairly small area, and AT&T has very poor to non-existent cell coverage there. At least they did two years ago; maybe they've built a few more towers since then. Verizon coverage is good.

If you like the water so much you might try Marion County too. Unless you are set on Spring City of course.

Spring City can be quaint and its old timey and small. I suggest you contact the local realtors there and also Chamber of Commerece and save yourself a lot of wandering around. I think the local newspaper there only comes out once a week but you can ask for their address and have one sent to you for browsing and ask about Watts Bar area too.
