I've got a friend looking to possibly moved to the Chattanooga area. She prefers to rent for the time being to make sure this is right for her - smart girl!!

She's got horses, dogs and cats though. Is it going to be hard to find a rental with a couple acres that will allow her pets? I've checked the realtor.com section for rentals and rent.com and found nothing.

Also, she's got a background in vet tech and such and currently working in zoning for the county shel lives in in Florida. How's the job market in these areas? Anyone have an idea for her?

I have occasionally seen rentals with acreage. Wasn't what we needed, so I did not really pay attention. I'll keep my eyes open though. Pets were not a problem for the most part. Some landlords require an extra deposit, some don't. We know that one, because we talked to a lot of landlords in our search!

Smile Soddy Horse Rentals .?/

M . : We are on the north side of the city, Soddy area, Rt #27. Not into animals myself, but there have been a few houses with signs off LEE Pike, one says 49 Acres, cove access.
One young couple we know gave up their horses, but have 5 acre log home. I think it would be easier, to BOARD the animals, then find a rental down the road... Another of our Chatt Forum members did horse riding with friend in this area, maybe a lead will be found.

Great advice from Split! There are many places to board horses in the Soddy Daisy/Sale Creek area. This is also an area that has more land than Chattanooga "town" area so it might be easier to find a home with a decent yard for the other pets.
